The Metropolitan Policy Committee (MPC) will hold a public hearing June 4, 2020 for a proposal to program roughly $20.5M of the MPO's discretionary funds. The proposal includes funding for 19 transportation projects and programs in the Eugene-Springfield urbanized area.

Projects were prioritized for funding based on program eligibility and how well they met the regional primary funding considerations of 1) improve safety, 2) preserve existing transportation assets, 3) preserve or enhance transit services, and 4) reduce greenhouse gas emissions. As required by federal law, additional consideration was given to projects that support the federal performance targets relevant to Central Lane MPO, the anticipated reduction in coarse particulate emissions (PM10) and cost-effectiveness of PM10-reducing projects (see each of the applications for these details.)

Transportation Planning Committee (TPC) will develop a formal funding recommendation based on input received during this comment period.

Public is invited to provide comment until July 9, 2020.
