The Metropolitan Policy Committee will hold a public hearing on the programming of STP-U funds. The Lane Council of Governments, as the Central Lane Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), is requesting funding for the purchase of seven (7) pedestrian counter devices. The request is a supplement to the funding already approved by the Metropolitan Policy Committee (MPC) for permanent in-ground bicycle counters, in that the requested devices will allow the MPO to further develop data, modeling, and other information about the pedestrian (and bicycle) modes in the MPO region. The devices cost approximately $3,600 each for a total of approximately $25,200.

More detailed information about this project can be found as part of the MPC agenda packet.

The public comment period is open from February 26, 2016- Mach 3, 2016.
