Point2point Solutions requests $106,268 of STBG funds from the MPO’s unprogrammed balance to support the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program in Springfield School District for fiscal years 2020 and 2021. The two-year targeted program seeks to complete the startup phase of the SRTS program in the Springfield School District. The funding would cover half the cost of a SRTS Coordinator position, with Springfield Public Schools covering the other half. Similar programs in Bethel and 4J School Districts are supported by MPC in the current funding cycle, while the Springfield program has been funded through 2019 by a combination of School District, LTD, ODOT and FTA funding.

Public comments will be accepted through September 28, 2019. A public hearing will be held 11:30a September 5, 2019 at Springfield City Hall, Library Meeting Room, 225 Fifth Street, Springfield.
